Ceremony & Reception at the Detroit Athletic Club
Darin & Jason had their wedding and reception at the historic DAC. The day ran smooth with the help of Laura Allis Events. Reception music & entertainment provided by The Killer Flamingos Band (who I LOVE!!!) The DAC is one of my favorite downtown locations to work, its gorgeous and the staff is amazing. Howell Opera House – Retro Michigan Wedding
Retro Style Wedding at the Opera House in Howell, MI
Melanie & Jordan had their ceremony and reception in Howell, MI at the historic downtown Opera House. This Opera Theater was originally built in 1881 is now available for special events. The Bride & Groom made all their own decorations. The bride even baked the wedding cake that morning! We had the pleasure of working with the very creative team of film makers from Documentary Incorporated, they even shot some on 8mm! This wedding was also featured in the Winter/Spring 2012 issue of Metro Detroit Bride Magazine.

New York Post-Wedding Photos
This couple is from Michigan but now live in New York. I had the pleasure of photographing their wedding here in Michigan this fall. Then, just after they returned home to Brooklyn from their honeymoon, Erica & Chris had me come to New York for more photos. We started in Central Park and wandered all over Manhattan, got some photos of the city from Brooklyn just before & after sunset, then finished up back in Manhattan at Grand Central Station. I’m always up for traveling to fun locations for engagements, weddings or post-wedding shoots!

Sara & Jeff were married on a gorgeous Saturday in Pontiac Michigan. There ceremony was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Pontiac. A reception followed at the Crofoot Ballroom. Dawn & Nick had their ceremony & reception in the Metro Beach park on Lake St. Clair. I was raining just before their outside ceremony but it soon cleared up. The second of 2 wedding at The Whitney for me on the same weekend (1890′s mansion on Woodward). Tiffany & Odell had their Ceremony outside in the gardens, dinner downstairs and dancing on the second floor. After the ceremony the wedding party took photos around downtown Detroit.

I was lucky enough to visit Chicago and do two engagement sessions. One for a couple who’s wedding is in Chicago next April, while the other couple lives in Chicago but will have their wedding back in Detroit in October.

Brittany & Jeremy were married in downtown Ann Arbor’s First Baptist Church. After the ceremony the bridal party visited their favorite pub: Grizzly Peak. A reception and wild party followed at Weber’s Inn.

Jen and Greg were married at Christ the Redeemer church in Lake Orion. The Bridal party and I hit the Royal Oak Brewery after the ceremony. A Reception at the Detroit Zoo followed. They even had a live band: The Spirit of 76.

Vintage Style Engagement Photos in Detroit Michigan
Beth & Patrick did their engagement photos in Detroit, starting and ending in Greektown. Beth put a lot of energy into finding just the right outfits for each of them. I did some vintage looking cross-processing to the photos. I think this coloring complements the city backdrop and their atire.
Their wedding is Next July at the Central United Methodist Church in Detroit with a reception following at Cherry Creek Golf.

Vintage Style Michigan Wedding in the woods
Jen and her ladies got ready at Downtown Rochester’s Royal Park Hotel. Their ceremony was held out in the woods at Stoney Creek Metropark. It was SO COOL. I thought a little vintage stylized cross-processing would complement the forest. Reception followed in a tent on the lake there at Stoney Creek. Live Band provided by the groom’s friends.
