The Boston Public Library is a national landmark and one of my favorite venues for a wedding. Founded in 1848 it’s one of the largest and oldest libraries in the country. The central building is located in Copley Square in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. Other fantastic photo locations like the Charles River, MIT’s campus and Boston Commons are within walkable (or short drive) distance.
Geraldine & Tyler picked the Boston Public Library to host their holiday nuptials. They got ready at the nearby Westin and did a “first look” on the steps of the Library. For photos we walked to a T-stop, Commonwealth Ave, the Charles River Esplanade, and took a car to Killian Court.
We returned to the Public Library, after sunset, for their ceremony in the courtyard. After cocktail hour the couple did their first dance on the marble steps of The Chavannes Gallery. The magnificent Bates Hall reading room then hosted the reception and dinner. Later the Boston Public Library wedding continued in the Abbey Room.
I travel all of the USA covering weddings. Consider bringing me out to yours. Here are some other examples of my work outside of Michigan: New York in the Winter , University Club of Chicago.
